The journal of the International Society of Academic/Arts Practice and Theory, merge, is conceived as a monthly-issued, multi-lingual gold open access online journal. The journal’s stands as a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed platform for academicians, artists, professionals, researchers and independent scholars who define their activities as embracing imaginative practice and comprehensive theory. Merge’s focus on the free-flow of ideas as a means to opening avenues of thought unhampered by the at times restrictive borders of affiliations. Our reviewers therefore view submissions through a lens of open and creative scholarship.
The International Society of Academic/Art Practice and Theory—ISAPT—was launched in 2006 and has continued to develop as a forum for academicians, artists, researchers, and professionals who recognize a broad lens in relation to artistic and intellectual pursuit. Within and between the social sciences, humanities, and the arts, discussions creating a cross-pollination of ideas between cultural, disciplinary and thematic premises are in continual development.
